I have never been one for making videos about anything let alone of my travels or adventures through life. Until this one day… I got myself a fake GoPro. Since then I am always looking for a reason to use it.
I arranged a “Party Bus” as a get together for me and my friends and during the route I was asked by everyone to share everything on Facebook. Of course, I said YES to them all and carried on sticking my camera in everyone’s face, taking pictures and videos.
The time came when the hangover had subsided and was time to see what media I had taken during this seven-hour bus ride from bar to bar. There was a lot of images and video content to go through.
It was at this time that I remembered someone saying make a video of it all.
So not knowing how to edit and produce a video with all the images and videos, I headed over to Google and did a simple search “How to make a video mac” to be precise.
This is where I see that my Macbook came with iMovie installed.
I proceeded to open the program and begin to wing it and see how it all works, not doing the obvious and learning the program before beginning. Low and behold it is not as easy as 1,2,3.
After some playing around, I got the idea of how to out a video together with transitions and different edits of images. So I manage to put together my first ever “adventure video“.
Since then I have made a few more videos together and I will make them whenever I can as it is a great way of showcasing a new location, holiday or get together.
I can see that iMovie is not the best software to create videos but until I get much better I will stick with it.
